Brick Repairs in Preston & Lancashire

Repairing damaged, cracked or missing bricks

From £150 minimumguide price only, confirmed after assessment

Brick repairs deal with the bricks themselves, not just the mortar between them: cracked, spalled (flaking) or missing bricks caused by frost damage, impact, or age. We remove and replace the damaged bricks, matching the size, colour and bond of the surrounding brickwork as closely as possible. Where the surrounding mortar has also failed, we'd usually recommend repointing alongside the repair.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes bricks to crack or spall?

Frost damage is the most common cause — water gets into a brick, freezes, and expands, causing the surface to flake or crack. Impact damage and age also contribute.

Will the replacement bricks match the rest of the wall?

We match size, colour and bond as closely as possible, though an exact match isn't always available for older or reclaimed brick types.

Why is there a minimum charge?

Sourcing matching bricks and setting up for a brick repair takes similar time whether it's one brick or several, so a minimum charge applies from £150.

Do I need repointing as well as brick repairs?

Sometimes — if the mortar around the damaged bricks has also failed, we'll point this out and quote for both.
